Please obtain all materials by your child's second lesson. Navigate to "Music Stores" under the Resources tab for a list of local music retailers. Beginners should not remove instruments from cases before Ms. Dreyman teaches them instrument care during the first lesson. Thanks for your patience!
1) Instrument of appropriate size in working condition (musthave a name tag)
All instruments (except basses) must have 4 functional fine tuners.
Ms. Dreyman will size all beginning students during the instrument selection process. Look for a sizing form to come home within the first 2-3 weeks of school. I will resize returning students as necessary.
2) Method Book
3rd and 4th grade: Essential Elements Book 1
5th grade: Essential Elements Book 2
5th grade beginners taking an instrument for the first time should purchase Book 1
Label your child's name in permanent marker on the front cover.
