About Waverly Orchestra
Orchestra is a voluntary course that students may register for in the third, fourth, and fifth grade. All students are welcome and no prior music experience is necessary!
Orchestra students meet for group lessons twice a week for thirty minutes during the school day. Lesson times rotate throughout the month so that students do not miss the same subject each time they attend orchestra. Lessons are offered for the string instruments: violin, viola, cello, and string bass. The family is responsible for renting or purchasing the student's instrument and accessories. Information regarding renting from local music stores can be found under the "Resources" tab.
A limited number of school instruments are available for students to borrow. School-owned instruments are intended for use by families with financial need. They are assigned to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email [email protected] to request a school instrument for your child.
